A Saga of a Build5/5

Starkat1138 · 2024-11-14 · value 4/5 · build 4/5

I got a used, incomplete copy of this set off a friend, and sourced my parts through Bricklink as they came up. Took me months to get through it, but I've got it together, in its entirety. I can't say I'd recommend you pay new for this, in that nigh on a thousand USD is a LOT of money, especially for Lego. That said? Good lord this build was a joy. Fascinating and long and sometimes arduous and sometimes beautiful se

Impressive Display, Unforgettable Experience5/5

GeorgeArt16 · 2023-03-10 · value 3/5 · build 5/5

Months ago I decided to treat myself to this set, and let me say it looks incredible. As someone who is fascinated with the Empire and their angular ships, this flagship is replicated incredibly. With over 4700 pieces, incredible detail is provided, especially around the rear thrusters and equator. Many tiny pieces like frying pans and the Mjolnir element create amazing greebling details and make the giant ship more

Great Star Wars Fan Set for Adults4/5

Unredeemable · 2023-01-28 · value 5/5 · build 4/5

As a fan of the original Star Wars Trilogy this set is most impressive. The sheer size and scope of this set is satisfying to build and admire. The build experience is excellent save for some repetition on building sections that are almost identical. The only disappointing thing about the parts is the lack of figures/unique character figures that go with the set. That being said, this set is by no means meant for pla

I have brought peace, freedom, justice and security to my new Empire!5/5

Where to even start with this? While there have been some pretty impressive sized models released in the UCS and Masterbuilder series, at the time of writing only a mere handful have been immortalised in what can be considered colossal-sized Lego form. Coming in at almost 4800 pieces, the Star Destroyer Devastator is one of these. As far as price per piece goes, the Star Destroyer has taken a little flack from the fa

Statement Piece5/5

EliReybuck · 2020-04-08 · value 4/5 · build 5/5

I'll be blunt, you aren't going to buy this set to play with it. This is a statement piece, not something you will pick up and 'zoom' around the living room, so naturally the playability score is going to suffer. Overall the build was enjoyable, and the model serves it's purpose as a large display piece. It will certainly spark conversation when people see it for the first time! My one and only 'gripe' is the inclusi

Awesome but fragile4/5

StanSUeScotty · 2020-03-12 · value 3/5 · build 4/5

When building, u have to put a lot of strength in keeping all the plates tight and flat. The details are excellent but cost much time. I do not recommend playing after the build. Some parts, especially the tantive iv, are fragile, bu it's perfect for displaying.
