A beloved set, full of emotions5/5

npapag · 2022-05-10 · value 4/5 · build 5/5

An excellent set! Detailed, almost perfect compared to the actual design. Smart construction, robust. The cockpit could be more detailed. The minifigures are very decent. The price level is rather stingy (exceeds the limit of EUR200), despite its significant size. Nevertheless, I highly recommend this set, especially if there is a corresponding emotional side: I first saw it in the cinema in 1979, it is the first Sta

One of my Favorite D2C Sets5/5

RundownPear · 2022-03-22 · value 4/5 · build 4/5

This is an odd set. Released in 2019, it was long rumored to be a small take on a UCS Tantive IV to go along with the large UCS ISD we would be getting that year. Then the set was revealed it was not a UCS however included some nice, at the time new, black box art and was at the $200 price point as a D2C. Finally, the set went out to consumers and we got to see the set in person, its large size, and its UCS-styled in

Latest Tantive IV is a satisfying addition to any collection - but no must-have4/5

TeddytheSpoon · 2020-10-22 · value 3/5 · build 4/5

The build : satisfying, if unspectacular. Plenty of greebling and colour variation to keep things interesting, and the eleven engines being split across several bags prevents too much repetition. Nothing truly revolutionary as far as building techniques are concerned. Stickers are used somewhat sparingly and are mostly unobtrusive, with one notable exception: the cockpit cones. Stickers on flat and even curved slopes

The Blocade Runner to add to your collection4/5

The Tantive IV is one of the first ships that you see in the New Hope. It appeared a couple of times after that; most recently in The Rise of Skywalker. This ship has always been associated with the Rebellion and it is therefore a must have for any “good guys” fleet.. It is the third depiction of this ship in LEGO. However it’s branding is a bit of a mystery. It definitely has a size and boxart fitting the UCS brand,

Nice set with an accurate look4/5

Shawnjohn · 2020-06-14 · value 3/5 · build 4/5

So, I ventured out to the lego store yesterday to see what was in stock and finally settled on this set. I own 10198 already, so I wasn't really set on grabbing this one as I didn't enjoy that build much and owning an older one didn't really intrigue me much to own a newer version, but I thought WTH, may as well grab it now while I have some cash and before it retires. I was overly sceptical of this build because of

Awesome Set for the Ship That Started It All5/5

When I found someone selling this brand new for $150 I had to jump on it, and wow! This is a truly amazing set as it looks absolutely amazing. The only thing I don't understand is why it isn't considered UCS, but what does it really matter, that's just a label. The Box and Instructions The box looks fantastic, like this is truly a collector's set and not just something you would buy for your kids. It looks like a UCS
