This is what a BTTF DeLorean should be! Excellent attention to detail and structurally solid. Scarcely a visible stud on the completed model, which for the sleek steel DeLorean is appropriate. Very heavy usage of SNOT (particularly the doors, which are a knot of it). The wheel-folding mechanism is a treat and works smoothly. I'm not a fan of the little white rubber bands, which will eventually degrade, but I can't im…
So, I have been itching to get this set for some time and finally had the money to buy the Delorian set. The instructions are clear and concise, and I loved the booklet that came with it that discusses the making of the film. It took me a couple of days to build and that's because I wanted to take my time and enjoy building it at the same time. However, I'd say this could be built in a day if you wanted to. I loved t…
Firstly, this is only my 2nd Lego set I've purchased and I'm 52 not really a fan just a 80's fan so it's part of my theme that is going on. So the back to the future set model 10300 I purchased last year, I built once then nearly finished it and it went Pete tong on me? So parts constantly falling off when you lift the model, should not be happening ? Pieces missing also is not on esp on how much the sets are. My big…
Lego's first attempt at the Delorean (set 21103) was "alright" but looked... well, not right. With this attempt they've, obviously, gone bigger and added accessories. Does it work? Yes. It does. And very well. It now looks like a Lego Delorean should and the minifigures have been improved too. As a build it's actually really fun and the added bonus of choosing which version to build really works. Is it worth buying ?…
Spent the weekend un-boxing and putting together the new "jumbo" size version of the Back to the Future DeLorean from the movies. I'm impressed with many things about this offering from LEGO and will provide a pro's/con's list about this set. It took me quite a few hours each of 3 days to put the set together. This includes converting it into all 3 film version modes, as there are directions to allow you to choose wh…
